Development of main designs for replacement of signaling/interlocking devices in stations from Bijelog Polja to Podgorice and rehabilitation of landslide Ratac

Project title Development of main designs for rehabilitation of landslide Ratac along the railway line Podgorica-Bar (from km 448+978 to km 450+000) and modernisation of signalling /interlocking devices in stations on the northern part of the railway line, from Podgorica to Bijelog Polja and rehabilitation of landslide Ratac
Project description The commission formed by the ZICG carried out an assessment of the deformations that appeared at the site 448 + 978 - km 450 + 000. It was concluded that it is necessary to determine the cause of the deformation and the complexity of the geotechnical conditions for remediation by geotechnical investigation. The aim of the project is to determine, on the basis of the previously done geotechnical investigations, remedial measures that will increase the safety of traffic and prevent the possibility of additional intensification of existing deformations.
Ensure greater system availability by installing modern systems for primary and backup power supplies;
The goal of development of main design for modernization of SS devices on the northern part of the railway line from Podgorica to Bijelo Polje, is to define measures that will:
  • Improve signalling /interlocking system on the railway linePodgorica – Bijelo Polje;
  • Improve operational safety and reliability, availability and sustainability of the devices and reduce the cost of equipment maintenance;
  • Enable central management and control of security systems operation;
  • Ensure greater availability of system by installing the modern systems for primary and backup power supply devices ;

    Expected commencement of main design development II quarter , 2018
    Current status ToR for the preparation of the Main Designs has been agreed and approved by WBIF. The project implementation team is in the process of being mobilized. The project implementation period will be 12 months.
